60th Anniversary of Everest being Summited

We are dressed up today because 60 years ago Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay reached the summit of Mt Everest. Edmund Hillary helped the people of Nepal by helping them build homes, schools, houses, roads, hospitals and train teachers. Sir Ed is one of New Zealand's heroes and most famous sons.

    Wow look at all of the Explorers in Room 6. Great work. Do you think you would be allowed to do a class trip?? That would be a lot of Fun.
